“Places You Probably Forgot to Clean in the Kitchen”

When it comes to keeping your kitchen clean, it’s easy to focus on the obvious tasks like washing dishes and wiping down the surfaces. However, there are several other places in the kitchen that often get overlooked and forgotten about in the cleaning process. To ensure your kitchen is truly clean and germ-free, here are eight places you probably forgot to clean in the kitchen.

Inside the Oven: Most ovens require occasional deep cleaning to get rid of grease and food particles that have been baked on. Be sure to use a non-abrasive cleaner to avoid scratching the oven’s surface.

The Refrigerator: It’s easy to forget about the inside of the refrigerator, but over time it can become a breeding ground for bacteria and other germs. Wipe down the shelves and drawers with a mixture of vinegar and water, and use a damp cloth to remove any spills.

The Dishwasher: Cleaning the dishwasher should be done at least every few months to remove any build-up of food particles and soap scum. Run the dishwasher on an empty cycle with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda to get rid of grease and grime.

Garbage can: Taking the garbage out might not be the solution if your kitchen smells bad. Trashcans can hold onto smells, liquids, and trash-related residue. Spray the inner and exterior of the can with a mixture of two cups of vinegar, a tablespoon of dish soap, and water while the can is still empty. You might need to use a cleaning brush on any food that has been caked on. Clean and dry the garbage can after rinsing it. To deodorize, sprinkle baking powder in the bottom once a week or so.

Inside of Your Cabinets: Take everything out of the cupboards first. Use a handheld vacuum to clean the cabinets, if required. Clean the interior by combining damp cloth with warm water and soap, then wiping it down with a dry towel. Once finished, wipe away any remaining moisture with another dry towel.
